DESCRIPTION:Exceptional Camels Day is dedicated to fostering stronger connections between future healthcare professionals and children with intellectual disabilities. Hosted by Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine\, we are excited to welcome children with disabilities and their families to our interactive\, three-hour event filled with fun activities\, including Cornhole\, cookie decorating\, a mini med school\, and a disco dance room.\n\nIn addition to these activities\, we will host a parent Q&A session\, providing a platform for future physicians to better understand the emotional and physical challenges faced by families. This dialogue will offer valuable insights into how we\, as healthcare providers\, can become more supportive and effective resources for both children and their families.
